Why is the restaurant called Tusk?
When trying to decide on the name for our new restaurant we considered using the names of our previous restaurants. We wanted a name that would reflect our own personal culture. A relative suggested "Tusk" because our hometown back in Surin, Thailand is famous for its elephants. Also our village neighbors Thailand's famous Elephant Village which is home to hundreds of elephants. So everyone agreed that Tusk would be an appropriate name for our new restaurant.

Have you had other restaurants? I think I've seen that waitress/chef before.
We are very glad to see some of our old customers at Tusk. We have been in the restaurant business for over 25 years. Starting with our first restaurant River Kwai in downtown Chicago, then Rim Klong in Lincoln Park. Due to a large increase in rent cost we were unable continue and searched for other locations. Then we openned Jasmine Restaurant in Northbrook, but had to stop after 10 years because our lease was up. But due to enormous success with Jasmine Restaurant we wanted to experiment with other suburban towns. This resulted in Dusit in Lombard, and finally Tusk in Batavia. We are pleased with the turnout of Tusk and hope to service the people of Batavia for many years.
